Techno live – Former employees Chirping Alphonzo ‘Phonz’ Terrell and DeVaris Brown built the platform social media which they called as ‘To pour‘.
Terrel was Global Head of Social and Editorial at Twitter until last month, which was engulfed in a wave of mass layoffs.
While Brown served as Lead Product Manager on Twitter working machine learning (ML), left Twitter in 2020 to found Meroxa, an A-list startup that makes it easy for companies to build data pipelines.

As Black creatives and technologists working in social media, Terrell and Brown have seen Black women, queer people, and other diverse communities drive new trends on platforms like Twitter and TikTok, but they’ve been ignored.
In the same way that Black founders are unfairly fired into venture capital, Black content creators have their work stolen and get fewer brand deals than white content creators, research shows.
