Turkey imposes restrictions on citizens unvaccinated from coronavirus

As part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the Turkish authorities have been increasing restrictions on citizens unvaccinated from COVID-19 since September 6. This was stated by the President of the country Recep Tayyip Erdogan, writes Anadolu.

According to the head of state, unvaccinated citizens will be banned from attending mass events, including concerts, theaters and cinemas without a negative PCR test. Also, tests will be required when boarding planes and intercity buses.

In addition, Erdogan warned, unvaccinated students and university staff will have to regularly take PCR tests for COVID-19, and teachers and school workers will be obliged to do them at least twice a week.

At the same time, the head of state recalled that vaccination in the country is voluntary, but he calls for vaccinations against COVID infection.

As reported the day before European Union approved COVID certificates issued by North Macedonia, Turkey and Ukraine. The documents will start working on August 20.
