A man was injured tonight, presumably as a result of a violent incident, on Bijlmerdreef in Zuidoost. An air ambulance landed because of his injuries.

The man was found around 10 p.m. A police spokesperson said it is not yet clear exactly what caused him to be injured, but it is believed to be an assault or stabbing. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
