Transfer market in Belgium gets underway: Anderlecht get a dissatisfied attacker

Anderlecht have made the first acquisition for the main force: wing attacker Ilias Takidine (19) comes over from KRC Genk and can try it immediately with a four-year contract in the first selection.

Takidine performed strongly in the Youth League this season, but never had a chance with the first team of KRC Genk. In Genk they repeatedly indicated that the youngster is not yet physically ready for professional football. His management thinks this is nonsense and points to the performance of the top talent in the Youth League. Anderlecht took advantage of that dissatisfaction to bring him in.

At Anderlecht, Takidine mainly has to compete with attackers Jérémy Doku and Francis Amuzu. “I am very happy with this transfer,” the talent responds to his transfer. “The sports management of RSC Anderlecht believes in my potential. Moreover, Anderlecht is a club that offers many opportunities to ambitious young players. It is up to me to do everything I can to fight for my place.” Takadine is Anderlecht’s first transfer for the new season.
