Bhopal: Employees of Madhya Pradesh’s Dagari toll plaza fell into a well and drowned. The employees fell into the well while escaping from the hands of the assailants following a dispute related to payment of toll.
The incident took place on Tuesday at 10 pm. At the Dagari Toll Plaza on National Highway-44, four masked men armed with guns had an argument over the toll and then damaged the doors and computers of the toll counters and harassed the employees. The assailants then fired into the air. The employees rushed to the nearby field for rescue. During this, he fell into the well in the field.
The deceased have been identified as Srinivas Parihar from Agra and Shivaji Kandele from Nagpur. Their bodies were brought out on Wednesday. CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained. Police registered a case and started investigation.
