The incident was reported around 9:15 p.m. A 43-year-old woman was walking along the street when a tree broke and fell on her. The woman is from Caspian. According to the information, she died on the spot.
Wind gusts this evening in Varna reach 100 km/h. There are dozens of reports of fallen trees and branches.
No other injuries were reported.
Earlier in the day, a 65-year-old man died after a tree fell on his car in Sofia. His wife was also injured in the accident. She is in serious condition in hospital.
