The new variant of the Toyota Yaris differs not only in its sporty appearance, but also in its specifically tuned chassis. You can also get it with a three-cylinder as a hybrid.

Toyota has recently been expanding its range of sports models. In addition to genuine sports cars, such as the GR 86 coupe, the GR Supra sports car or the GR Yaris super hot hatch, there are also sports derivatives of the original models, called the GR Sport. After Corolle or C-HR, Yaris also experienced such an embodiment.
Starting in model year 2022, the Yaris GR Sport becomes the new top version of this small hatchback, that is, unless, of course, the top GR Yaris, which also differs in its body. The car is available either with a three-cylinder 1.5 Dynamic Force (92 kW) and a six-speed manual for 485,000 crowns or as a hybrid with a combined power of 85 kW for 575,000 crowns.
The novelty in the offer primarily differs in its sporty appearance. The bow is decorated with a new mask with the GR logo, Gazoo Racing division, while at the back we find a new T-shaped diffuser. A specific feature is also the 18 “light alloy wheels.
The interior is also sporty. The perforated leather steering wheel is again adorned with the GR emblem, as well as on the head restraints, the engine start button or the instrument panel. A special solution is the upholstery with red stitching, complemented by a blue-gray decor, for example in the door panels. The seats are then upholstered in Alcantara.
But the Toyota Yaris GR Sport is not only a design edition, it has also undergone technical modifications. Additional reinforcements under the floor on the sides of the vehicle increase the rigidity of the body and thus improve driving characteristics. The aerodynamics are then improved by additional inserts inside the front and rear wheel arches to suppress resistance forces.
The shock absorbers have been optimized to respond a little faster at slower speeds for better steering responses and driving comfort. In addition, the springs on the rear axle have been modified to suppress body tilts or lift the wheels during acceleration and braking. The electronic power steering, in turn, is adapted for faster and more sensitive responses, which improves feedback.
As a top version, the Yaris GR Sport is of course rich in equipment. These include heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a multimedia system with a 9 “screen or bi-LED headlights.
A gray Nickel lacquer with a contrasting black roof for CZK 17,000 is also specifically designed for the GR Sport variant. You can also buy a VIP package for 45,000 crowns with the JBL music system, head-up display, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring or a heated steering wheel, for which you can also buy a panoramic roof for another 10,000 CZK.
