Top Potential Successors for Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen Revealed

Bayer Leverkusen are apparently preparing for a possible departure of coach Xabi Alonso with a list containing more than 20 names of potential successors to the Spaniard. At least that’s what Sport Bild reports.

In addition to the corresponding trainer names, the list includes information such as the length of the contract, possible exit clauses, the game idea or the language skills of the trainers. In addition, there is said to be another list of five to ten coaches that Leverkusen would seriously consider.

One of the coaches is said to be Alonso’s compatriot Raúl. The former FC Schalke 04 professional, who previously played successfully for Real Madrid for many years, has been in charge of the Royal second team since 2019.

Sebastian Hoeneß from VfB Stuttgart is also said to be on the list. It was recently considered a possible successor to Thomas Tuchel at FC Bayern.
