Since the new rules concerning travel to France were put in place, many cross-border citizens or not, have been asking questions. This is particularly the case of residents of Brûly (Couvin) who, to reach their village, via the bypass, are forced to go through France, for only a few meters.

Since this Sunday, France has introduced new rules in order to counter the Covid crisis which today affects all the countries of the European Union. From now on, any entry into and exit from France is forbidden, except under certain conditions. Anyone wishing to enter France must present a negative PCR test. However, an exception exists for cross-border residents.
A citizen also asked about a geographic concern. In fact, in order to get to Brûly, by taking the E420 and the bypass of Couvin, the latter was obliged to go through French territory, the slip road allowing to reach the village of Couvin, located in France.
Any citizen who therefore wishes to be able to go to Brûly without going via the N5 can be checked, as it surely happened this Sunday for some Couvinois eager to return home.
