It has been more than seven months since we were able to prepare for a Grand Prix weekend, if we do not count the lost weekend in Australia at least. In Melbourne, the race weekend was canceled at the last minute, after the corona virus was detected by a McLaren employee. Now everything has been done to avoid similar situations and we are finally starting this week.
Last season Max Verstappen was supreme in Austria. After a dramatic start, he worked his way up to the leading position, taking care of all the favorites and winning a great fight with Leclerc. Also in 2018, the Dutchman was already the winner in Spielberg. Can Verstappen secure a hat-trick and get involved in the battle for the world title right from the start of the season?
Since the season is kicking off in Europe, we don’t have to get up early. The first free practice starts on Friday at 11:00 AM, after which the second free practice starts at 3:00 PM. On Saturday, the day kicks off at 12:00 with the third free practice, followed by the important qualifying at 15:00.
The Grand Prix of Austria starts on Sunday afternoon at 3:10 PM. RacingNews365 will report live on all training, qualifying and race on the Red Bull Ring, including live timing, and will notify you of all developments as soon as possible after the end of all sessions.
