The first is indisputable. This is Ella Fitzgerald, singer with a divine voice, whose memory is honored by the Amazing Keystone Band, on October 16 in Vernouillet. The second is more unexpected. Louis Prima was what Americans called a pure entertainer. His biggest hit, Just a gigolo, is still on everyone’s lips.

On October 22, in Courville-sur-Eure, the Louis Prima Forever orchestra will present its vast repertoire.

2. Do you prefer modern jazz?

Far from being frozen in a mythical past, jazz continues to feed on new influences and sounds. Many artists present at the festival will show that the genre has its place in the 21st century.

A new era for culture in Eure-et-Loir?

On September 28, she will come as a duo with accordionist Lionel Suarez to Saint-Rémy-sur-Avre for an intimate evening which is already shaping up to be one of the festival’s great moments.

Another approach, that of the Cuban cellist Ana Carla Maza, who will appear alone on stage with her instrument, on October 15 in Mainvilliers, to present her hybridization between genres. Pop, jazz, classical… there are no more barriers!

3. Are you more of a blues person?

Fans of this century-old music, sister of jazz, will not be forgotten, with the exceptional double stage Bai Kamara Jr and Barefoot Iano at Mainvilliers on October 9, the Cotton Belly’s quartet on September 25 in Bailleau-Armenonville, or the trio Auvergnat Muddy Gurdy, who will come on October 16 to Lisant.
