# Kim Mo (65), who was homeless at Cheongnyangni Station, was introduced to the Municipal Reseller General Support Center from the broadcasting station PD and entered Gosiwon, a temporary housing facility for the homeless. Kim revived the canceled resident registration while reporting moving to this address, and is currently in the process of applying for basic living security.

The city of Seoul has started to operate emergency beds and provide relief supplies for homeless people in winter. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 19th, an emergency bed for homeless people was set up as a period of special protection measures from November 15 last year to March 16 this year, when the cold wave is concentrated. This bed, which can accommodate up to 855 people, consists of 10 homeless people’s comprehensive support centers, temporary shelters, Seoul Station and Yeongdeungpo Station Hope Support Centers, and emergency accommodations using Gosiwon and Jikbang. The emergency accommodation is designed to protect 110 people, and the bed in the center can protect a total of 745 people.
The 745 dragonflies prepared in the General Support Center are operated at intervals of 1m or more each. Emergency bed is still available on a daily registration basis.

An average of 555 homeless people a day used the emergency bed on the 5th to 11th and 15th to 17th during the cold wave warning. There are about 300 dragonflies, and when using it, body temperature and respiratory symptoms are checked for quarantine. In order to prevent the spread of the corona, the city of Seoul is requiring that any suspected symptoms be protected in a separate quarantine space within the facility and then examined at a screening clinic.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government also provides emergency accommodations such as Gosiwon, which can stay for up to 6 months for homeless people who are reluctant to group facilities, and supports self-reliance by applying for employment and supply. It also guides the corona 19 preemptive test. Until the 15th, a total of 7513 homeless people were tested.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said, “If a homeless person or a citizen who finds a homeless person in need of a homeless person reports a crisis response call (1600-9582), the relevant information will be provided or a facility counselor will go to the site to take relief measures.”
