The police were notified of the accident at 13.15.
According to reports, a car drove down the gate of a kindergarten in Haugesund and hit three children who were sitting and playing.
The children were taken to hospital with unknown extent of injuries. The parents of the children have been notified.
Witnesses have explained that just before the accident, the car was about to turn outside the kindergarten. And then something happened that I do not yet know completely, says operations manager Kurt Løklingholm in the South-West police district.
First, the car must have hit a tree stump. Then it drove down the gate.
The police have control of the driver of the car. The driver is also taken care of by health personnel.
– The person has no connection to the kindergarten, says Løklingholm.
