Suspicious package in Utrecht turns out to be harmless, staff are allowed to enter the building again NOW

As a precautionary measure, a company on Eendrachtlaan in Utrecht was temporarily evacuated on Tuesday afternoon after a suspicious postal package was found here. After investigation it appears that there were no explosives in the mail.

The Explosives Clearance Service Defense (EOD) came to the scene to investigate the suspicious package.

The evacuation, which was previously limited to part of the building instead of the entire building, could be undone fairly quickly.

A bomb letter was delivered to several companies in the past month. A false alarm was also raised a number of times about a suspicious package.
