Thousands of Trump Supporters Demonstrated, Insisting the President was ‘Cheated’

WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – Thousands of loyal supporters of the President United States of America (AS) Donald Trump protested in Washington on Saturday (11/14/2020) on the back of the president’s misguided claims about the election being ‘stolen’ from him.

The crowd of demonstrators swarmed the presidential motorcade that was about to turn its way out of town.

A staunch supporter Trump, Anthony Whittaker of Winchester, Virginia said, “I just wanted to keep his spirits up and let him know that we support him.”

Thousands of people gathered along Pennsylvania Avenue, from Freedom Plaza near the White House.

The week after Joe Biden from Democrats declared the winner of the US presidential election, demonstrations in support of Trump took place in several cities.

The rage over the executive power shift is yet to show signs of abating, signaling Trump’s claim of victory in a race he has failed to win.

A broad coalition of high-ranking government and industry officials has stated that the US presidential election last November 3 and its subsequent count was “the safest in American history”.

The statement clearly denies Trump’s efforts to undermine the integrity of this major US event.

In Delray Beach, Florida, several hundred people lined up, some carrying signs reading “Count every vote” and “We can’t live under a Marxist government.”

In Lansing, Michigan, protesters gathered in the Capitol to listen to speakers who questioned the results Biden won states with over 140,000 votes.

Phoenix Police estimate as many as 1,500 people gathered outside the Arizona Capitol to protest Biden’s narrow victory in the state.

Crowds in Washington began gathering Saturday morning with cheers sounding as Trump’s limo approached the Freedom Plaza.

People lined both sides of the road, some standing just yards from Trump’s vehicle. Others show their enthusiasm by running along with the accompaniment.

They chanted “USA, USA” — United States of America (US), and “four more years,” and many carried American flags and boards showing their displeasure with the vote count.

After making a short detour around the site, Trump’s presidential motorcade heads to the presidential golf club in Virginia.

Among the speakers at the demonstration was a Republican of Georgia who was recently elected to the US House of Representatives.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, for expressing racial views and support for conspiracy theories QAnon, asking the people for a peaceful demonstration, walked towards the Supreme Court building.

The demonstrators were among the members Proud Boys, a neo-fascist group known for their history of street violence.

The parade was mostly peaceful during the day before turning tense at night.

By late afternoon, several hundred anti-Trump protesters were engaged in clashes with the group Trump supporters.

One group of Trump supporters was beaten with eggs and one person lost his red MAGA hat because it was set on fire.

Several police lines blocked Trump supporters from entering the Black Lives Matter Plaza area as night fell.

Those who made it into the area were doused with water and seized all the MAGA hats as well as the pro-Trump flag.

Videos posted on social media show several demonstrators and opposing demonstrators exchanging elbows, punching and slapping.
