After the process of presentation, support and evaluation of the biosafety protocols made by the Colombian Football Federation for the resumption of professional football in the country, and with the approval of the Ministry of Health and the National Government, it was reported this Wednesday that this sport will start its reactivation scheme from June 8, complying with the following stages:

Stage one will begin with the screening and assessment of the health status of the players, for a period of 14 days, in the first week, molecular tests will be carried out and, subsequently, immunoglobulin serological tests to ensure that when training starts the athletes are healthy.

During this phase, stage two begins, in which the adaptation of the training venues and implementation of biosafety protocols is made.

Completed the first two stages, the third will consist of the start of individual and differentiated training. Here, serological or rapid tests will be carried out every four days. The individual trainings will last 28 days.

Once this period is over, they will travel to the venue or venues selected for the matches (venues with several stadiums), guaranteeing hotel conditions and a good health status index for COVID-19. The collective training process begins and rapid tests continue every four days.

According to the evolution of the process, the League would resume in the month of August (first or second week), implementing serological tests every four days.

The total of tests, from stage one to three, will be carried out by professional football clubs along with their EPS. During the development of the League games, the tests will be in charge of the Dimayor.

The total number of tests is planned to be carried out by a duly accredited and legally constituted health entity, which demonstrates that it has the operational and quality capacity to carry it out and that, in addition, it can function adequately at the party headquarters or venues.

In total, 14 controls will be carried out, for all those involved, throughout the process.

According to what was expressed by the Minister of Sport, Ernesto Lucena, the idea is for the League to start in the first week of August.
