The manager of the small bar enforces a rule that strictly prohibits talking about all matters related to the corona virus, lockdown, or virology.
This prohibition is clearly written on the poster placed on the bar.
The bar manager hopes to give his client a break from time to time global pandemic while drinking coffee, as reported by AFP on Friday (20/11/2020).
“We have been talking about the same thing for months, so we chose to lighten the atmosphere,” said Cristina Mattioli, manager of “Feeling bar”, told AFP.
As the first European country to be hit by the pandemic, Italy has been under the shadow of the Covid-19 threat longer than most other European countries, and is experiencing one of these lockdown heaviest.
After several weeks during the summer, in which life has almost returned to normal, cases of the pandemic have spiked again, with deaths increasing every day.
“It’s not at all about denial, or not understanding the hardships of what the world is going through, but just about giving yourself a break,” said Mattioli.
