jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Microbiology specialist Rina Adeline said that there are effective ways for the public not to be infected with the Delta variant, including the need to be calm in responding to the Covid-19 variant from India.

In addition, he said, varian Delta can be prevented by implementing the 3M health protocol (prokes), following vaccinations, and thinking optimistically.

“We need to increase the body’s resistance, namely with balanced nutrition, supplements, and exercise. Then what is mandatory again is vaccination,” said Rina Adeline during a virtual discussion seen by jpnn.com on Gelora TV’s YouTube account, Friday (9/7).

According to the alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University, Bandung, the Delta variant does have a faster transmission power and is more virulent than the previous virus.

“The infection is getting bigger and the virulence is high. It means that he is able to infect even more severely,” he said.

Regarding the malignancy of the variant, Rina Adeline highlighted the adaptation of the virus when it infects people with comorbidities.

Later, the symptoms received by comorbid people will last longer than Covid-19 patient not congenital diseases.

“The host with certain comorbid conditions affects the ability of the virus to adapt, resulting in the length of illness,” said Rina.
