Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Coffee has become a part of life for a handful of individuals. No wonder many individuals make drinking coffee a daily habit, especially in the morning.
However, this habit is in fact dangerous if done before breakfast. This was disclosed by the Center for Nutrition, Exercise and Metabolism at the University of Bath.
One recent study conducted by the Center for Nutrition, Exercise and Metabolism at the University of Bath concluded that drinking coffee after breakfast is better. This is to maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
The research is published in the British Journal of Nutrition. In the study it was also revealed that drinking coffee as the first activity after waking up had a negative impact on blood glucose control.
“Simply put, our blood sugar control is impaired when the first thing that comes into contact with our bodies is coffee, especially after a restful sleep,” said Professor James Betts, Deputy Director of the Center for Nutrition, Exercise and Metabolism at the University of Bath. To carry out the research, 29 men and women were studied. Every man and woman has their blood tested before and after ingesting anything.
