Actually, Günther Jauch should have stood in front of the camera for RTL on Saturday evening with Barbara Schöneberger and Thomas Gottschalk. But as the broadcaster announced on Friday morning, the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Star will not be able to lead through the live broadcast with his two colleagues. The 64-year-old was infected with the corona virus. Jauch has to stay at home.
Who will instead take part in the RTL show “Because they do not know what happens” on Saturday evening with Barbara Schöneberger and Thomas Gottschalk, the station did not want to reveal until the start of the latest edition.
Eight celebrities replace Günther Jauch
At 8:15 p.m. the time had come: After the two regular presenters, eight other stars also took the stage – but all with a Günther Jauch mask so that they are not recognized directly. The viewers only found out who was hiding underneath during the course of the program.
Because for each game Thomas Gottschalk was allowed to choose one of the women. The first thing the “Wetten, dass ..?” Legend decided on was number eight. Behind it was Sonja Zietlow. For the second game he got support from Motsi Mabuse. Laura Wontorra and Lola Weippert followed. Frauke Ludowig came to his aid for the fifth game, then Evelyn Burdecki, and later Victoria Swarovski. For the first time he spoke about his corona illness. “All of a sudden I noticed: I have a headache, I have aching limbs, and somehow I am not feeling so well.” The moderator then did a test, but it turned out negative.
“The next day I felt even worse.” Only a PCR test brought the confirmation: positive! “Now the quarantine is simply kept for 14 days. If everything goes well, the next Friday will expire.” Then Jauch would be fit again on Saturday for the new episode of “Because they don’t know what’s going to happen”.
