Once your island is up and running Animal Crossing: New HorizonsMost likely, not everything is as you would like it to look. What’s cool is that you can choose where to position all of the buildings when you initially build them, but the plans can change quickly and luckily you won’t be stuck with the buildings in the same place forever.
However, you will have to advance approximately a week in the game to obtain this option, but preferably later than never.
The moment you will be waiting is for your resident services store to upgrade to the building, which will also bring Isabelle into the mix.
Once this happens, Tom Nook and Isabelle will settle in this new building, and each will offer different services for their island.
Tom Nook lets you know that as your island continues to expand, you will be able to move around your buildings and design your island in a more concise manner.

When your Resident Services building is completely up to date, head inside and fight your every instinct to talk to Isabelle, but talk to Tom Nook.
You will have to choose the infrastructure dialog option and choose the design changes option.
From here, things will become expensive since moving things on your island is not a service that Nook will provide for free.
For example, moving Nook’s Cranny will cost 50,000 bells, which is not an extremely high amount, but it is certainly something that could be better spent elsewhere.
As you continue to improve your home, the loan payment ranges from millions of bells, so each counts.

Above all, though, it’s what your island looks like, so we don’t blame you a bit if that’s what you want to prioritize. After all, it is you who has to live on your island, not us.
