This February 22, a new registration process for scholarships given by the Municipality of Guayaquil opens to continue studies at the technological Argos | Community | Guayaquil

This call is aimed at people who are part of priority groups or in vulnerable situations.

Starting this Monday, February 22, the Municipal Public Company Development, Social Action and Education (DASE) will open the second call for people interested in taking third-level studies online.

This call is aimed at people who are part of priority groups or in vulnerable situations.

In this cycle, the municipal program Academic Excellence Scholarships, executed in agreement with the Argos Higher Technological Institute, will award 2,000 scholarships. As in the first call, the quotas will be allocated in the same percentage for men and women.

Applicants will be able to access scholarships in Management of Tourism Operations, Safety and Occupational Risk Prevention, Sales, Networks and Telecommunications, Logistics and Transportation, Software Development, Human Talent Management, Accounting, Administration, Agricultural Production and Foreign Trade.

They can also choose the careers of Pedagogical Assistant, Inclusive Education, Marketing, Criminalistics, Communications and Public Relations and Canine Care.

Those interested should follow the steps indicated on the website https://guayaquil.gob.ec/becas-argos or they can also go to the DASE offices with the requested requirements, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 15:00, the DASE said in a statement.

A next call will open in February 2022 to deliver 1,000 scholarships, with that the agreement that contemplates 5,400 will be completed.

These are the requirements to access the scholarships:

  • Be a maximum of 45 years of age.
  • Identity card that proves Ecuadorian nationality and voting ballot.
  • Reside in Guayaquil.
  • Have completed high school, with a minimum of 7.8 as an average for secondary studies.
  • Bachelor’s degree and degree certificate.
  • Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship and / or aid program from national or foreign governmental and non-governmental institutions.
  • Not have a degree registered with the Senescyt at any level of higher education.
  • Have internet service and have a computer, laptop, tablet or technological equipment to study online.
  • Have a basic service sheet.

Also interested persons must not incur the following prohibitions:

  • Not having expired obligations or glosses with the Municipality of Guayaquil, as debtor and / or guarantor.
  • No be a defaulted contractor or failed contractor of the State. (I)
