“I would say generally communication is high on the list right now considering how people work in situations that can be very different, hybrid situations,” said Kristen Kelley, chief marketing officer at CareerBuilder.
Before you show clear, polite, and professional speaking skills during an interview, recruiters usually look at the applicant’s communication skills by writing and replying to emails. Therefore, just make sure you answer questions from potential bosses or managers in good and responsive language.
Another thing that is also important in communicating is knowing how to talk to various kinds of people. This ability is important for a large company, especially if the position you are applying for is quite high. “You have to work with different types of people which you have to be able to communicate effectively with all of them,” adds Kristin.
Another soft skill that turns out to be important for getting a job today is flexibility. Candidates are expected to be able to work in a variety of conditions. Therefore, it is also important to emphasize that you can work at home or in the office or anywhere if needed.
