After those of Metz, Nancy and Colmar, the Thionville building is the fourth residence of the Acapace group in the Grand Est.

An alternative to the nursing home
This is part of a concept that has been spreading for several years throughout France: multi-service rental housing for seniors. An alternative to the nursing home for retirees who are still independent and active who wish to benefit from secure accommodation – staff present 24 hours a day, remote assistance – and more suited to their age.
“Our furnished apartments range from studios to T3. Each has an outdoor space, ”explains Guillaume Descamps. Thanks to collective rooms and organized activities, these new private buildings are also places to break isolation. Reception agents or carers stay permanently in the residence to meet the needs of tenants.
According to the promoter, “the opening of the residence will create ten jobs”.
At Les Jardins d’Arcadie, many additional services complete the offer: catering 7 days a week, 365 days a year, entertainment, laundry … that they consume ”, indicates the director of the residence of Thionville.
The fact remains that to live in this “high-end” residence, the tenant will have to pay a tidy sum. The rent for a studio of 30 m² starts at 927 € per month and amounts for a T3 of 83 m² to 1904 €.

The future tenants: rather Thionvillois
The commercialization phase has just started. “We already have sixteen reservations in a fortnight, it’s unheard of!” Says the manager. Among them, we record many Thionvillois very involved in the community life of the municipality who already live in the city center. They want to move towards smaller and more functional accommodation, like this dynamic 90-year-old lady who could no longer maintain her apartment of around 100 square meters on her own. The arrival of the first residents of the Jardins d’Arcadie is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.
