The young woman was found strangled, with head injuries and a fork stuck in her eye on December 17, 2018. The criminal investigators from Sofia detained her friend Dimitar Razhev, who is a criminal – he has a registration for robbery and possession of counterfeit money. However, he was not in prison.
After the arrest, it became clear that the man was suffering from schizophrenia, which was triggered in his childhood. Razhev is from the Plovdiv village of Brestnik. Divorced with two children.
A week after the atrocity, he was brought to trial, where he was remanded in custody. Even then, Razhev pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor’s office has terminated the criminal proceedings against Razhev. The reason – according to psychologists, he is insane and can not be held criminally liable. An expert examination was prepared in Lovech by three psychologists, whose conclusion is that during the murder, Razhev’s schizophrenia was triggered.
“A lawsuit is currently pending for non-pecuniary damage. The filed claim is for BGN 200,000 for each parent. We don’t want money, our life ended 2 and 5 months ago. Time passes, but the grief remains. It hurts even more, “said Zlatena’s mother.
Razhev is currently in hospital. According to the blackened mother, sometimes the killer came to his senses and understood what he had done.
“He regretted that he had taken an innocent life. Then he fell into crises again. He said that he was the fourth God on earth and he killed a snake that wrapped itself around his neck to strangle him! During the whole painful process, I learned that after leaving the hotel he took a taxi and wanted to take him to his wife, who has two children.
He wanted to kill her too, because she was a demon too. However, Razhev did not have the money to pay for the taxi and the driver took him down. This is how another human life was saved! ”, Says Gergana Yordanova.
Zlatena’s mother reiterated that her daughter and Dimitar Razhev had no relationship before the murder. Their acquaintance took place in a Plovdiv disco. Their communication continued through social networks. According to Gergana, the mistake is that the girl said where and when she was going to Sofia.
The blackened mother also blames the institutions, which should have taken measures for Dimitar’s treatment earlier.
