Police raided the office again online loan (pinjol) is illegal in the Tangerang City area on Thursday (14/10) this afternoon.
The raid on the loan office was precisely located in Green Lake City, Ruko Crown Blok C1-7, Tangerang City.
“It’s true, this is related to borrowing (illegal). Members are already at the location,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus when confirmed, Thursday (14/10).
However, Yusri has not disclosed in detail about the raids. He said he would explain further at the location.
“I’ll release it at the TKP,” said Yusri briefly.
Previously, the Central Jakarta Metro Police raided a shophouse in West Jakarta which was used as an illegal loan office.
“We received reports from the public that there was a loan syndicate that threatened the safety of residents, we finally investigated it,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Hengki Haryadi to reporters, Thursday (14/10).
During the raid, the police arrested 56 employees who worked in the supply and billing departments.
In this case, the perpetrators can be charged with Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45 B of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the 2nd Criminal Code and or Article 62 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 8 paragraph 1 letter f Jo Article 17 paragraph 1 letter G Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
