Police reported on Tuesday that in the morning, one nautical mile off the coast of Rincón, the Añasco Maritime Unit intervened with a boat that was trying to reach the island.
According to the police, 14 men and 3 women of undefined immigration status were traveling on the boat.
The Uniformed specified that the intervention took place in the middle of a preventive patrol, carried out by the aforementioned personnel, who detected the group on board a boat made of fiberglass, white and blue color, with a Yamaha engine, in which these people traveled.
