They find the grave of “Santa Claus” in Turkey!

Archaeologists have discovered the tomb of St. Nicholas, the saint of the legend of the figure of Christmas, Father Christmas or Father Christmas.

The tomb was located in a Byzantine church, created starting from the 3rd century and located in southern Turkey, and according to expert research, some remains of the saint would have been stolen about 700 years ago, and only a few would have remained inside the tomb.

Saint Nicholas was known for giving donations to the poor, and one story in particular, where he gave purses of gold to three women so they would no longer have to work as prostitutes, goes the legend.

He lived all his life in Turkey, moreover, he died right there, and, in fact, in the temple where his remains were found, he was a bishop, and over time this place has become a place of worship for Orthodox Christians.

“Indeed, this is the soil of the era in which he lived, and we are talking about the soil that was trodden by the feet of St. Nicholas. This is an extremely important find, the first find from that period,” says a professor who was there for the find.

This temple where the remains of Santa Claus were found, is located in the city of Demre, which was built on an even older church. It should be noted that St. Nicholas died in the year 343 AD

It was the year 1087 when the remains of Saint Nicholas were desecrated and his sarcophagus was broken.

At the end of the 1900s excavations began in the church where he was bishop and where the remains of Saint Nicholas were found.
