They capture a lawyer who sexually assaulted his 12-year-old daughter – Diario La Tribuna

A father who, according to investigations, sexually assaulted his daughter a year ago, was captured by agents from the Police Investigation Directorate (DPI).

The operation was carried out thanks to a complex investigation led by DPI agents, on San Pablo Boulevard in the Honduran capital.

The suspect, a 55-year-old lawyer by profession, is originally from and resident of the Popular neighborhood of Tegucigalpa.

According to investigations carried out by the agents assigned to the case, since 2022, the suspect began sexual assaults against the infant. He continually threatened her so that she would not tell her mother what had happened.

To commit the crime, the subject took advantage of the fact that the minor visited him along with her siblings, since her mother separated from the aggressor several years ago.

The minor was a victim of attacks by her father for a year.

It is worth mentioning that the infant did not disclose what happened out of fear. Her father frightened her by telling her that if she told about her abuse he would do the same to her younger siblings.

But thanks to the brave and timely complaint of the victim, an exhaustive investigation was opened, which led to the prompt capture of the aggressor today.

Likewise, all the corresponding procedures were carried out to guarantee respect for the rights of the victim and those arising from this process.

Due to the above, the Criminal Court of the Judicial Section of Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán, issued the arrest warrant against the aggressor since last November 28 of this year. The above, for assuming him responsible for the crime of other continued aggravated sexual assaults.
