The suspect of killing four members of a family in Trujillo Alto at dawn on January 1 was arrested tonight in Humacao.
The information was confirmed by the police commissioner, Henry Escalera.
Against the man, identified as José Carlos Aponte Ramos, 36, They weigh four counts of first-degree murder, one charge for attempted murder and five counts for violations of the Weapons Law.
Judge Lirio González Bernal, of the Carolina Court of First Instance, set a bond of $ 27.5 million.
The investigation shows that Aponte Ramos is a relative of the murdered family and lives near the scene.
Aponte Ramos was charged in 2014 for murdering a man in the Carraízo neighborhood, in Trujillo Alto, but the charges were dismissed in a preliminary hearing.
Edwin Ramos, 47, Dorothy Wickline, 40, and 9-year-old twins Edwin and Jorge Ramos Wickline, were shot dead at their residence in the Carraízo neighborhood, Camino Los Ramos street, in Trujillo Alto in the early hours of 1 January.
Another couple’s teenage son was also injured by the incident and had to receive medical assistance for gunshot wounds in one of his cheekbones, arm and leg.
The victims were buried on January 9 at the Municipal Cemetery of Trujillo Alto.
