The actions in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office began from October 1, 2019 and lasted until April 26, 2020.
They involved the arrest of drug dealers, extortionists and heads of La Unión Tepito, such as Alexis Osmar Flores Díaz, El Osmar.
On Thursday, the apprehensions of Brandon Alexis, El Junior; Jorge Luis “N”, El Tío, and Alejandro “N”, all relatives of El Lunares, detained in the San Rafael and Centro neighborhood.
In the report it is reported that the apprehension of another member identified as Michel de la Cruz was also achieved, who ended up betraying the Investigative Police (PDI) agent José Ricardo Sánchez Vascoit, who said he was protected, at the time, by the former general manager of the corporation, Raúl Peralta Alvarado.
Despite the above, according to the authorities, in the Cuauhtémoc mayoralties there was a reduction of 53.6% in high impact crimes.
However, in that period, the agency reported 4 thousand referrals made by the police, with a total of 5 thousand 115 people arrested; only 960 for high impact crimes and 4,155 for having committed a less serious crime.
An example of this has been the series of executions that have been registered in the midst of the health contingency in the Tepito neighborhood; the most recent was of two women, one of them related to the criminal group.
The SSC report also reveals that after the arrest of the last visible leader of El Lunares, the capital’s police have concentrated on dismantling the operations of El Hormiga, an extortionist who operates in the Morelos neighborhood.
In addition, members of Los Sinaloas could be apprehended, who are responsible for the sale of drugs, extortion, collection of land rights and executions.
