“There’s only one culprit, and that’s me.” Danish inventor admits infamous submarine murder in film – Abroad – News

In August 2017, Kima Valla boarded a submarine built by Madsen in Copenhagen. After that, various parts of her body were found in the sea for several weeks.

In 2018, Madsen was sentenced to life in prison. He claimed that Vallas’ death had been an accident, but the court rejected this version.

Madsen confessed to the murder of a journalist who secretly recorded telephone conversations with Madsen in prison, reports the Danish newspaper “Extra Bladet”.

To the journalist’s question as to whether Madsen killed Vallu, the inventor answers “yes.”

“There’s only one culprit, and that’s me,” Madsen said.

The documentary “Secret Records” was released on Wednesday, September 9.

Madsen had previously confessed to the parting of Vallas and throwing it into the sea, but steadfastly insisted that her death was an accident.

The authors of the film point out that Madsen has now given permission to make the talks public.

The 30-year-old Valla was an award-winning journalist who produced reports from around the world – Uganda, Cuba, the Marshall Islands, Kenya and the United States.

While in Copenhagen with her husband, she learned of Madsen, a self-employed inventor who built her own submarine.
