The Covid-19 vaccine is coming very soon in France and around the world. Beyond the health challenge with this vaccine, the first objective is to make the vaccine available everywhere. To do this, a massive offer is already planned.
“About 15 billion doses will be produced globally to deal with the Covid-19 crisis,” suggests Mathieu Friedberg, guest on RTL. “Of these 15 billion doses, (…) between 20 and 30% will be of the type of Pfizer, that is to say vaccines that will move at very low temperatures“, continues the director general of the pharmaceutical company Céva. Indeed, the vaccine of the American laboratory needs to be transported to a temperature of -70 ° C. This therefore requires “very particular logistics”.
In addition, out of the billions of doses that will be distributed over time, “50% will have purely land logistics and 50% will have logistics with air transport in the middle. Europe, distribution will be made from European production sites“, explains Mathieu Friedberg.
