A group of young people were in a camp near the Dalešice dam on a weekend trip. They went to see the lookout there. Unfortunately, Ondra then got an unfortunate idea. Jump from about 30 meters high into the water.
“He looked at it and said that he had jumped it 5 years ago with his dad, that he knew it here. He jumped and didn’t emerge anymore,” says Ondra’s friend.
Due to the great depth, police divers did not find the young man’s body until 5 hours later. The rescuers did not have a chance to fight for his life at all.
The fact that, according to friends in the group, they drank before the fateful jump also played a role, and according to them, Ondra was also under the influence of alcohol.
“Yes, I don’t know how much he drank, but he was drunk,” adds Ondra’s friend.
Recently, a man on the Orlická dam died after jumping from a bridge into the water, and this footbridge in Pardubice is also a very dangerous place. Every day, several people, including 12-year-old children, jump from the 12-meter-high into the Chrudimka River for fun.
