The acquisition of Bethesda by Xbox / Microsoft has officially met all legal requirements, and as the two companies have said today, today is the first day they will start seriously discussing the specific form of their future cooperation. Regarding the exclusivity of future games, Xbox chief Phil Spencer said during a lively discussion that although they will continue to support existing games (and future Deathloop-type commitments) on “other platforms”, their primary interest in the future will be to promote great exclusive Game Pass titles. PlayStation or Switch consoles could also look forward to games only if they allow a Game Pass to exist on their platform.
