As world leaders in the G20 discuss climate and vaccine distribution around the world, their wives have taken over the Italian capital, Rome, where politicians have gathered.
Today the ladies visited the most famous landmark of the eternal city – the Colosseum. Two of them stood out with impeccable style – pregnant Carrie Johnson and Bridget Macron.
To demonstrate her husband’s eco-beliefs, the half of the British prime minister had chosen a jacket, which according to world agencies costs about 60 pounds, and Carrie had already worn it before. She had paired it with a black dress with red flowers. For the British, poppies are a symbol of remembrance and are worn until November 11, when is the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the First World War. Boris Johnson also appeared with a poppy on his lapel.
Bridget Macron demonstrates her impeccable Parisian style. She was wearing a black silk shirt paired with a black pleated skirt and high heels. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s wife, Ermine, had skillfully combined the color of her clothing with her protective mask and hijab.
Some of the ladies had opted for comfort, choosing a suit of jacket and pants. With this, for example, the wives of the South Korean president and the Italian prime minister appeared. They had both chosen pearl necklaces. Begona Sanchez, the half of the Italian prime minister, looked stunning in a peppery suit.
US First Lady Jill Biden missed the tour of the monument, but joined the ladies for lunch. She was spotted talking to Carrie Johnson, and she and Bridget Macron indulged in sweet talk and a glass of wine.
