The Department of Estimates at the Meteorological Department in Lebanon expected today that the weather will be sunny tomorrow, with an additional and tangible rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and internal regions, which return to their seasonal rates, as the humidity decreases, the winds are active sometimes, and snow continues to form on the mountain roads that are higher than 1200 meters or so. above.
The following bulletin stated:
– The general situation: an area of high atmospheric pressure dominates Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, which leads to stable weather with the control of the northern winds and an increase in daytime temperatures, while the night temperature remains low, especially in the interior regions, which continues until Tuesday, when it turns into volatile and sometimes rainy.
We warn of the formation of local ice on mountain roads that are more than 1200 meters or less in the interior areas during the night and early morning hours.
The average temperature for February ranges from 1.4 to 1.2 degrees Celsius.
– The expected weather in Lebanon: today is sunny with the domination of the northern winds, the daytime temperatures rise, while the nighttime temperatures remain low, especially in the interior regions. We warn against the formation of ice on mountain roads, starting from a height of 1200 meters and above, during the night and early morning hours. During the day, it turns cloudy with occasional scattered rain, and snow falls at an altitude of 1,500 meters and above.
Expected temperatures: on the coast from 6 to 18 degrees, above the mountains from 2 to 15 degrees, indoors from 0 to 16 degrees.
Surface winds: north to northeast, speed between 8 and 25 km/h.
