“The Voice”: Marghe makes her childhood dream come true! – Lark

Margherita Davico, alias Marghe, is on cloud nine. She had dreamed of it for years: her place in “The Voice”! This Saturday, February 13, two coaches looked back on his cover of Louane’s “Donne-moi ton coeur”. Interview.

How have you lived these last months?

My daily life was work, studio, home! When I had days off I was in the studio with David Henry (editor’s note: they form the Mada duo) for our piano / vocal group. “The Voice” was a big change because I had to prepare myself physically: it’s not every day that we experience this.

What prompted you to participate in “The Voice”?

In fact, I wanted to integrate this adventure for a very long time, even at the age of 12 I already imagined myself on the big stage of “The Voice”. That this year I have achieved it is a goal achieved, a little girl’s dream!

A candidate had marked me enormously, Ane Sila (note: season 2015). She was in Florent Pagny’s team. I really liked her voice, her tone, I found that she really took me elsewhere… And even her way of singing I found it just too beautiful! And in my head I was thinking “maybe one day I will follow the same footsteps as she”.

How did you prepare for the blind auditions?

I wanted to prove to the coaches that I am not there for nothing, it is the first time for me on a set and on television. It’s a big pressure, something intense. In my head I said to myself “it’s good I’m here, I have to give the best of myself, I’m not here for nothing and I don’t want to leave right away”. I let fate take me where it takes me, I will always take the positive of it all.

When the seats turned around, how did you feel?

I didn’t realize it because I was so focused and so much I took ownership of the song. When I was done and saw the two seats turn over I was like “oh boy I did it”.

Which coach did you choose?

It was very difficult to choose but when I saw Florent Pagny I had a feeling. From what I’ve watched, in all seasons of “The Voice”, in terms of techniques he knows what he’s saying. He is direct, and this way of speaking, of advising, very benevolent, I like a lot. He always has this simplicity, this smile, à la Florent Pagny! That’s what I like.

Did your music grow in Poitiers?

When I arrived in France, I was already seen as the little singer from high school! Little by little, by meeting people, by making contacts, I sang on small stages, in bars, even in restaurants. At Futuroscope they even offered me to sing from time to time in front of the park visitors. It came like that, little by little, persevering.

There has been a great development, even on me, and a lot of work. I never gave up, even if sometimes I wanted to, but I can’t do without the music. And I realize that it pays off and what I remember about the adventure is that, despite the lows, you should never give up and never give up!
