The US Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament, Robert Wood, said the United States wants Russia’s help to engage China in nuclear arms control negotiations. On Wednesday, January 22, reports Reuters.
“China’s nuclear stocks, according to our estimates, will double over the next 10 years, now is the time to hold this trilateral discussion,” Wood said. He added that the secrecy of Chinese actions poses a threat to strategic stability, which the negotiations promoted by Washington can be a defense against.
