Nikki Grahame paid for a big TV star. She first entered the British version of the Big Brother reality show, in which the contestants close in on a villa and the winner is the one who remains last, in 2006.
She also participated in 2010 and 2015, a year later viewers could see her in the Canadian version. She enjoyed making scandals and attending wild parties. She exhaled for the last time at the age of 38 last Friday, the portal informed Global News.
Grahame has been battling anorexia for seven years. Her last rescue was to be treated in a private hospital, but she died there.
The money for the expensive medical stay was sent to her by fans, her friends founded a collection and accumulated over two million crowns. But even top doctors did not save Nikki.
“It is with great sorrow that we have to inform you that our beloved friend Nikki left early on Friday. It breaks our heart that they took someone so great at such a young age,” the collection website says.
The Czech version of the Big Brother show was broadcast in 2005 by Nova television. The winner after 112 days was David Šín nicknamed Shrek. He took home 10 million crowns in cash for it.
