Metal Gear Solid will actually be back? Konami has published a mysterious message

In recent days, you may have encountered numerous rumors about the Metal Gear Solid series. It is difficult to predict what the plans for this IP really are, but Konami has just published a mysterious message. According to the first opinions – this may be a teaser of the upcoming announcement.

The Metal Gear Solid brand went to the drawer and although Konami tried to develop IP after the departure of Hideo Kojima, we have been waiting for a new production for years. We haven’t heard of new games in the franchise for a long time, but rumors of the return of IP have been coming more and more in the past few days.

Earlier this week, I informed our community about the leak according to which Konami was looking for developers interested in developing MGS – the Japanese producer wanted to become a licensor and simply benefit from the work of another team.

Konami already this month awakened hope for the announcement of a new game, as the company confirmed its participation at E3. At the same time today we got a preview of GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moonand now … A cryptic message has appeared.

Metal Gear’s official profile replies to a message from Tom Olsen (fictional character) and mentions a meeting next week.

The mentioned Tom Olsen is a “Big Shell maintenance technician” who has been publishing screenshots since the beginning of April:

I must mention that there have been rumors of the return of the Metal Gear Solid series for several days. I heard about the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection remaster (current and previous generation), saw rumors about Metal Gear Solid Remake (on PS5), and even ran into unconfirmed reports about Microsoft’s collaboration with Konami to revive MGS.

What will it be? I have no idea, but I hope something is actually coming.
