Březinová was successful in the beginning, but then she fell in a triple rittberger and started to buy mistakes. Several times she included only a double jump instead of a triple. “After that fall, I probably lost my concentration a bit. I didn’t want to make another fall, it played a bit of a role that I had to stand on my feet under any circumstances. That’s why the jumped double jumps,” she told an online press conference.
She finished the final pirouette only after the end of the musical accompaniment and received a deduction of one point for exceeding the time. She already knew about the penalty on the ice. “But I tried to turn it so that it wasn’t zero, but at least some level.”

Compared to the short program, it has lost one place, but it should still secure a place for the Czechia at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. But she herself was careful. An explanation appeared in the venue of the championship, according to which some quotas from the World Cup could be transferred to an additional qualification in Oberstdorf. “Everyone is debating it at the moment. No one knows where the truth is. A rule has been issued that no one understands very well,” she said.
Newly, only figure skaters who are in free rides can advance directly from the World Championships. If a country wins more participants than it has in the final in Stockholm, another competitor can fight for a quota in Oberstdorf. Disputes are over whether the same number of places will remain available during the additional qualification, or whether they will be increased by these cases at the expense of the places from the World Cup. There are a total of three places for women.
If the transfer were to apply, even though it is not explicitly stated in the criteria of the international federation ISU, not only Březinová, but also the Czech sports duo Martin Bidař, Jelizaveta Žuková would be just below the line. The ISU will not publish the official allocation of quotas until 11 April.

The fight for world medals in the women’s competition was full of mistakes. After a short program, last year’s vice-champion of Europe, Ščerbakovová, maintained the lead. Tuktamysheva, the 2015 world champion, turned her return to the international scene in silver after six years. She jumped two triple axels, but was betrayed by a flip. She lost almost thirteen points to the title.
Trusovová “jumped” to the bronze place from the twelfth place, although she fell in two of her five four jumps. The failure of the other woman after Rika Kihira’s short program also helped her. The Japanese hope unsuccessfully attempted a triple axel and did not even include the planned four jump. She made other mistakes and dropped to seventh place.
