The man was arrested for theft, says operations manager Wenche Johnsen in Trøndelag police district to VG.
Police are looking for him, and believe they have found him in a house with several housing units.
Although the man is armed, the police do not believe that he poses a threat to others in the area. The police were notified of the incident at 5.30 pm on Thursday afternoon.
