The National Guard received the third French helicopter Airbus H-225, which was delivered as part of the development of the Unified Aviation Security and Protection System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. By the end of the year, the aviation of the National Guard will be replenished with four more Airbus helicopters, informs press service of the National Guard on Facebook.

“The National Guard already has three modern aircraft, the pilots of which have undergone theoretical and practical training from their colleagues in France. In total, NSU plans to expand the fleet to 12 helicopters, which will be used to quickly move personnel over long distances to perform certain tasks, and evacuate patients. and the wounded, the implementation of search and rescue activities, “- said the commander of NSU, Colonel-General Nikolai Balan.

As a reminder, the first Airbus helicopter arrived on December 21, 2018, and the second in December 2019. In February 2021, it became known that during the current and next year, Airbus Helicopters will supply 10 helicopters to Ukraine H225 and will continue training Ukrainian pilots. Helicopter supply contract Ukraine and France signed in 2018. The contract makes it possible to obtain 55 modern helicopters that will be used in the security system. Later it became known that out of 55 helicopters, 21 will be second hand.
