Due to the current situation derived from the pandemic by covid-19, the Federation of Comparsas Santa María Magdalena de Novelda, through its Central Board, with the support of the Hon. City council of the municipality, has decided unanimouslysuspend the celebration of the Moors and Christians festivals 2020.
This is a difficult decision. However, putting together all the points of view and impressions of the presidents of all the comparsas, it has been concluded that giving priority to prevention and safety, thus extreme all measures within our reach to protect the festivities and festivities, to the general population.
Likewise, it has been decided not to postpone them since there are no deadlines that ensure that the festive events can be held with normality at another time of the current year.
