The incident with Dmitry Nikiforenko happened on July 30

The perpetrators should be severely punished, but collective responsibility should not be resorted to, Maciej Wonsik noted.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland Maciej Wonsik stressed the importance of investigating the death of 25-year-old Ukrainian Dmitry Nikiforenko in a sobering-up center in Wroclaw after being detained by the police. This was reported the day before Polish radio.

Wonsik was a guest of the Wirtualna Polska portal, where he was asked about the reaction of the department to the fact that after being detained by the police and as a result of police actions in Wroclaw, a 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen died, and in Lubin – a 34-year-old Pole.

“There is already a reaction. A prosecutor’s investigation has begun in Lyubin, and I am convinced that it will help to clarify this case. There are different testimonies. If we talk about the situation from the sobering-up center, then some of the police have already been punished,” the vice minister said.

Wonsik stressed that “the perpetrators should be severely punished, but on the other hand, collective responsibility should not be resorted to.” According to him, it is important that these “all cases are clarified.”

In turn, the details of the last hours of Dmitry Nikiforenko’s life were told by Suzanna Vodolivova in an interview with the publication Telegraph.

“At first we were told that his heart had stopped. Then that he had to be tied up because he was aggressive. But later a Polish media journalist phoned me who saw the tape from the sobering-up station … He said that Dima was tortured, tortured and beaten. as I think, in what agony he was dying … They held him, squirted from a gas can … He begged not to be beaten. The fact that he bit a policeman is true. But when did he bit? They all sat on him and choked him, and he bit to somehow escape. He fought to the last to be released, “- said the girl.

The young people met in Poland, where both were working. Dmitry Nikiforenko worked at a construction site for about two years and was waiting for the Pole’s card. They planned to marry Susanna and stay in Poland.

The girl also denied the information of the Polish police that Dmitry was a drug addict and alcoholic.

“He went in for sports all his life, did not drink at all. But that evening he agreed to sit with the guys at the end of the shift, since he had just started working in this place and did not want to be a“ black sheep. ”They had a barbecue, fried sausages, drank a little. But we were in touch all the time, Dima was not aggressive and was going home to sleep. The last time we spoke, he was at a bus stop, but the connection was interrupted and the phone did not answer anymore, “Vodolivova said.

Recall in Wroclaw died after being detained by the police Dmitry Nikiforenko, a 25-year-old citizen of Ukraine from Nemirov, Vinnytsia region, who worked in Poland on construction.

The incident took place on July 30, but it became known after the publication on September 2 in the Polish edition of Gazeta Wyborcza.
