In a rare video, makers revealed Egyptian Animation movie “Knight and Princess” On the video of the late star Saeed Saleh, during the recording of the role of “Abu Al-Rayah” in the events of the film that began work on 20 years from now, and Saeed Saleh appeared lightly his usual shadow as he recited his voice very professionally to embody the character he plays within the events.
The knight and the princess revolve in the context of adventure and comedy, speaking in Arabic with translation into English, which is a joint Egyptian-Saudi production, and is considered the first Egyptian cinematic experience for animation, as work started on it 20 years ago, and it faced some productive obstacles until it came to light.
The events of the film, inspired by a true historical story, took place in the seventh century AD, revolving around the personality of Muhammad bin Al Qasim, who heard about the looting and abuse of women and children kidnapped at sea, so he decided to leave his city of Basra and go on an exciting adventure, with A fictional character, with a friend of his age Zaid, and his teacher Abu Al-Aswad, to fight the unjust king “Dahr” who was sharing with the pirates what they got of the spoils and sabaya during his journey, Ibn Al-Qasim gets acquainted with Princess Lubna, to start another journey in which he encounters his expected destiny.
The movie is shared by the stars: Mohamed Henedy, Medhat Saleh, Donia Samir Ghanem, Majed El-Kedwany, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, and Abla Kamel, in addition to the departed Saeed Saleh and Amina Rizk, the film is written and directed by Bashir Al-Deek, and by the cartoons of the late cartoonist Mustafa Hussein.
The first world premiere of the film was at the El Gouna Film Festival, as it was shown at the Malmö Festival for Arab Cinema in Sweden..
