The size of the sun is very large, its heat and light revolves around the earth as a light and source of energy.
Compared to the earth and other planets, the sun is the largest. By the power of Allah SWT, the light and heat can be felt on all planets, especially the earth. The existence of light and heat from the sun is very useful for everything, which is related to life.
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Then part of the heavens of the earth will be darkened, and night will come. But in the end, Allah will reverse the direction of its rising and setting.

It is known, sunlight appears due to chemical processes on its surface. Where the process lasts for five billion years.
Then in the Qur’an it is mentioned about the real life of the sun, which is one of the signs of His power. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala says:
وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ْلْعَزِيزِ ْلْعَلِيمِ
Wasy-syamsu tajrī limustaqarril lahā, talika taqdīrul-‘azīzil-‘alīm
Meaning: “And the sun moves in its orbit. Such is the decree of the Almighty, the All -Knowing.” (QS. Yasin: 38).
The verse in Arabic used is mustaqarr, meaning a predetermined place or time. Therefore the Qur’an says, the sun goes to a predetermined time.
