As a result of the actions minutes ago, a perpetrator of a serious intentional crime committed a few days ago in the capital was detained. In addition to the alleged perpetrator, another person was detained.
It concerns the murder of former police officer Lyubomir Ivanov, who was shot dead in front of his home in Sofia on March 25th. Ivanov is a former head of the Criminal Police in one of the capital’s regional administrations, leaving the system in 2014. In 2018, he was wanted by Interpol as a member of a criminal group for the production and sale of illegal cigarettes.
