Note that the equipment was sold to Poland to circumvent Israel’s refusal to sell modern weapons to Ukraine. The company said it did not know Warsaw would sell arms to Kiev.
These systems can intercept drones and are classified as “advanced defense technology” and therefore are not approved for sale in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Israel is implementing antidron systems along its borders with Gaza, Lebanon and Syria and is considered a world leader in technology development, with the participation of several Israeli companies: Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit, MCTECH, Spear and Avnon Group .
After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Western countries supplied Ukraine with a significant amount of weapons, but the Israeli Defense Ministry opposed the sale of both offensive and advanced defense systems to Kiev because it could damage Jerusalem’s “delicate relationship” with Moscow.
Israel is trying to maintain ties with Russia due to Russian troops in Syria. At the same time, Jerusalem has provided Ukraine with helmets and protective vests, as well as humanitarian aid, including medicines and blankets.

As previously reported by UNIAN, in March of this year Israel visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens suspended and set a quota for 5,000 Ukrainians who could enter the country. An electronic entry authorization system has also been introduced.
85 famous Jews – representatives of Ukraine’s scientific, cultural, political and business elite – signed the appeal to the Israeli Knesset with an appeal to cancel further procedures that make it difficult for Ukrainians to enter the country, including those forced to seek asylum due to hostilities.
